WhatsApp, the most used messaging app in the world, is about to introduce a new feature that will allow users to use it on desktops even without a mobile phone.
At the moment, WhatsApp users can use the app on the desktop only as long as they have a mobile phone and have internet as well as active WhatsApp, but this will not happen under the new feature.
According to C-Net, the WhatsApp administration is working on a feature that will allow users to use their mobile phones to use WhatsApp on the desktop, which was not possible before.
Previously, in order to login to your WhatsApp account on another web, the user had to log in to his mobile and keep the power on.
But with this new feature, users can now log in from 4 different devices at once and use their WhatsApp on these devices even if they don’t have a mobile phone. Also the most important feature of this new feature is its high speed which allows users to use their WhatsApp from all four Linked devices simultaneously with high speed without stopping, but some features like video and voice calling Google Chrome IPad access will not be available.
According to the report, all these Linked devices will depend on the user’s mobile phone. If WhatsApp has not been used in the user’s mobile for the next 14 days, then the WhatsApp account will be automatically logged out from all the Linked devices.
Currently this feature cannot be linked to smartwatches nor has WhatsApp provided this feature to Apple Watch yet.
It can be said that other messaging apps, like this new feature of WhatsApp, need to be updated to some extent.
It should be noted that this feature is not unique but even before this some messaging apps have introduced a feature in which messages can be read from Linked devices even without the presence of mobile.
Signal has also introduced this feature, while Apple’s iMessage app, MacBook, iPad tablet, Apple Watch and iPhone all have similar features.
