Controversial Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has accused popular Indian poet and writer Javed Akhtar of harassment and incitement to suicide.
According to Indian media reports, Javed Akhtar had filed a defamation suit against Kangana Ranaut in 2020.
The trial was held in a local court in Mumbai on July 4.
During the trial, Kangana Ranaut said that Javed Akhtar had intimidated, threatened and tortured her for not apologizing to Hrithik Roshan.
She further told that Javed Akhtar had threatened me and said, “We will not waste any time in identifying the fraudsters. The people will know that you and Hrithik were not in a relation. You will be so discredited that you will have no choice but to commit suicide. If you want to save your honor, apologize to Hrithik Roshan”.
Kangana Ranaut further said in her statement that Javed Akhtar wanted me to commit suicide under the pressure of his threats, he made me suffer from mental stress and anguish.
It should be noted that Javed Akhtar had filed this case in 2020 against the alleged defamatory and baseless remarks of Kangana Ranaut during a television interview.
