Actress Iffat Omar, who openly opposed government policies during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) era, demanded the arrest of PTI chairman over the incident at Masjid-e-Nabawi.
Two days ago, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia on a three-day visit, allegedly, PTI Pakistani pilgrims started chanting slogans against Maryam Aurangzeb and Shah Zain Bugti who had entered the Masjid-e-Nabawi and called them thieves.
The videos and photos went viral on social media, prompting criticism from a number of quarters.
In a tweet in this regard, Iffat Omar also condemned the slogans used in the Prophet’s Mosque and demanded the arrest of Imran Khan.
Iffat only blamed Imran Khan for the incident and said that it was necessary to stop all this now and Imran Khan should be arrested for inciting hatred.
In another tweet, Iffat Omar criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) statement and wrote in the context of the issue of Madinah state that “Pakistan was to be made Madinah state, Madinah state is not Pakistan”.
